A Long-Awaited Return to Normalcy

So, I've had my "long hair rite of passage" and thanks for a nudge from 16/19 voters, I made a hair appointment for today. I think most of you thought I wouldn't do it. Well, I did! Traffic was crappy btw--thanks to all the Bountiful residents who were either on their way to the parade or feeling irritated (that was me) about the traffic that was incredibly annoying and trying to avoid the parade. Anyway, I got to Gayle's (my fab hairdresser, seriously, the BEST!!) and was ready to cut it all off.

She started cutting, and I just kept telling her "shorter! shorter! Even shorter please!" She was nervous for me because she said a lot of people can't handle cutting that much hair at once. Eh, no biggie. It's hair. It'll grow back (and then I'll have to pay for another haircut--such is life!)

I feel like I'm back to normal. This is how my hair has been for 8 of the last 10 years, and I feel like I'm back to who I really am. I was feeling so claustrophobic and just frumpy. It was SO heavy, and SUCH a pain to dry, and it never curled--or stayed curled rather--so I'm welcoming the return. So, are you all still glad you voted the way you did?
