Spring Break

I like Spring. I like Spring a lot. I love the flowers that nudge their way through the dirt and bloom in all their springy splendor. I love the downpours. I LOVE rain. I really do. For some reason, it seems as though the day goes by more quickly when it is gloomy outside. I love Spring colors, and I love the feeling when school is almost over, and you can almost taste Summer in every breath.

I love Easter. I love sitting on the grass and enjoying some Easter treats in a new Easter dress (or outifit). I love dyeing Easter eggs and eating egg salad sandwiches and deviled eggs for a week after.

I seriously dig peeps. I don't like the bunnies as much as I like the chicks. The chicks are my very favorite.

I love planting a garden (usually while listening to Saturday sessions of General Conference). I love the anticipation of fat, juicy, delicious tomatoes; homegrown and bursting with flavor.

I do not, however, like Spring Break. It's lovely to not worry about school for a whole week. Coming back from Spring Break is absolutely miserable for me. I get a taste of freedom from scholastic responsibilities, and all I want is more. More, more more!! It's so hard to motivate myself to keep going and keep working. *sigh* I hope to be finished with school for good soon. It won't be too soon, but I'm not sure it will be soon enough either.

Addicted

I enjoyed a fantastic vacation in California a few weeks ago, and have since become addicted to a few things, and I mean ADDICTED. Today is particularly hard as I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms from multiple addictions. They are as follows (and not really in any particular order).

1. Baby Jane. Cutest! Baby! Ever! I mean, check out these faces! (Friends who are out of touch: If you have happened to stumble upon this blog [and I KNOW you're out there...], this is my niece. I do not have children.) Seriously, check out this face???

And look how stinkin cute she is, all alert and stuff...(that's my arm she's chillin' on). She is so dang cute, and I miss her bunches. I heart Jane. We hung out a lot. I'll post more pics from my trip when I stop being so lazy. :D

2. Chocolate treats and other bad-for-me foods I discovered in CA (and Trader Joes--can't we get one in UT please???). Namely, Chocolate covered pretzels, dark chocolate covered almonds (holy hannah they're tasty!), chocolate covered graham cracker squares, Rubios (mmm...shrimp taco...), Sprinkles Cupcakes (holy deliciousness!!!!), and all manner of delicious indulgences. Not to mention I had these during the week (I've only been eating sugar treats/snacks on Sat. and Sun.).

3. Celebrity Apprentice. Oh my word! I'm totally addicted. I've hooked Josh, but he'll never admit it. He actually had to ask me to stop screaming and clapping and saying "Oh my gosh I'm so excited!!!!" during the show. I want Jesse James to win. He is SO my favorite. ("I don't know what happened, but the cupcakes taste like butt"). Go Jesse!!!! I never watch reality shows, but I've since become addicted to 2, which leads me to number 4...

4. Biggest Loser: Couples. I'm a huge fan of Mike, and I like Kristin and Kathy. Too bad Kathy got the boot. I pretty much can't stand the black team girls. Added Bonus: I get all motivated to exercise for about 10 minutes after the show. Too bad you can't watch exercise to get skinny...I'd be a size 0. ;)

5. Sun. It's true, I'm addicted the Sun, which is particularly awful today because it hasn't stopped snowing ONCE in the last 8 hours. *shudder*. Didn't Spring start on Friday?? What is up with this weather.

6. Sudoku. I bought a little Sudoku book at the airport on the way home, and did about 30 Sudoku poems in one sitting later that week.

I watched Celebrity Apprentice last night, and can't wait until Sunday. Did I mention I also watch the re-run of Celebrity Apprentice on Saturday nights too? They add extra stuff in the Saturday shows. Sure, I should just watch on Saturdays instead of Sundays, but let's be honest, I can't stand waiting a week to watch it when I know a new one has already aired...I'm a nut, I know. I can't wait until Sunday, to see the next big challenge! In addition, it's also snowing like crazy!!! I just want to live in CA. Too bad Josh thinks he likes the snow...boo! Furthermore, I have that awesome picture of Jane in her sunglasses as my desktop background on my work computer and I see it ALL the time and it makes me miss her like crazy.

If you see me today and I have the shakes, bloodshot eyes, and I'm talking crazy...you now know why.

Dear Jane,

I miss you bunches. You are so cute, and so smiley, and you make the cutest little Wilbur squeal. I especially miss you when I look at this picture.
